Year 5 market

I woke up Tuesday morning I go down stairs I checked the calendar for what I had today. It was market day. I panicked I did not know what to do, mom calmed me down. So after that I had breakfast got changed like you always do it on a school day.

At the market we sell stuff like book marks, rose mary jars and many more. I saw James, poor guy is he okay. We are raising money for him.

I enjoyed making the book marks. It was fun selling the stuff to the little kids.

I counted the money, we made a total of $414. It made me happy and we nearly sold all our products.

I had trouble with helping my group. Because I not that good at helping a lot. Probably because I’m lazy. I want to improve this when I do the next group activity.

All year 5’s are having a Market Day on the 11th of June from 9.00am to 12.00pm. They are making items to sell at their stalls. Creative 101 are making shrinky dinkys and yarn balls. All the profits go to charity.

If you made a stall what would you sell?

I really enjoy reading comic books, such as science comics: rockets and tintin.  Science comics: rockets, which tell you about defying gravity.

My favourite book chat this year has been Toad Rage. I enjoyed Toad Rage because it is a good and interesting book. It is about a child called Limpy and he wants to find out why people hate cane toads and prove that cane toads are not bad. It is a very positive book and sends a good message.

Athletics day

Athletics Day

I was huffing and puffing around and around, till I could not stand it much longer. It was the 16th of November 2018. 10 years after I was born. Let’s begin, it all started on a Friday morning around (6:00am), when I got up. You know what let’s just go to school already.

(8:30am) when we jumped on the bus straight away. We were heading off to the complex in Bulleen. (9:15am) when we walked up to the grand stand everything was okay…

Until a loud BOOM!!! Sound happened and that boom gave me a fright.

sorry that all, but thanks a lot for reading this story. Oh  and don’t forget to leave a comment. Have you ever been in a race? See you next time.

Earthquakes

This term I studied earthquakes as part of our unit On natural disasters. I had to research earthquakes and make a diorama.

Here are some facts about earthquakes.

An earthquake is when tectonic plates move around and the earth shakes or moves.

Tectonic plates are like puzzle pieces.

A seismograph is used in mesmerising earthquakes.

The largest earthquake ever recorded in the world was in Chile in 1960.

Have you ever made a diorama before and what did it look like?
